30 Years of Express Medicals: A Reflection on People and Culture
Ross Lee, COO, shares his reflections on Express Medicals’ 30th anniversary.
Thirty years ago, this company was founded with a clear ambition to build something enduring, and with people determined to make it happen. That spirit still defines us today. While markets, technologies, and strategies have evolved, the quality and commitment of our people and the trust our customers place in us, have remained constant.
Over the past five years, I've had the privilege of seeing that evolution up close. We've sharpened how we operate, introduced new technology, broadened what we offer, and become more responsive in a fast-moving environment. What has mattered most, however, is how we've gone about it; being honest about where we need to improve, working as a team, and staying focused on what our customers actually need from us.
The culture here is something you notice straight away. People take ownership, support each other, and aren't afraid to speak up or try something new. That carries through into how we work with our customers and serve their employees; we listen, we build long-term relationships, and we judge ourselves on the value we deliver, not just the work we do.
Thirty years in, we're still evolving. What's got us this far, our people and our customers, will be exactly what drives us forward.
