Dr Dan Hegarty
Dan is the CEO. He has worked in Express Medicals for over 20 years. He has a wide experience of occupational medicine and occupational drug & alcohol testing. He is co-author of “A Practical Guide to Drugs and Alcohol Testing.”
Gary is a Chartered Accountant specialising in Corporate Finance. He has been Financial Director of two quoted companies and has held many non-executive directorships. He is a Governor of University of Westminster; Hon. Treasurer of London City YMCA; former Chairman of the British Suzuki Institute and former Vice Chairman of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. He is also a Past Master of a City of London Livery Company.
Michael Stallard worked for London Underground for over 37 years holding various senior management posts. He has also developed corporate mandatory Category 1 standards for safety in the industry and worked in Brussels as an expert in passenger information systems and services on an EU commission project.
Before moving into consultancy Mike was the business manager of London Underground’s Occupational Health Department responsible for the day to day contract management of Drug and Alcohol testing within the system.
He is experienced in developing and delivering training courses for organisations who want to introduce a drug and alcohol policy. He is also a co-author of “A Practical Guide to Drug and Alcohol Testing”.
In 2013 he was elected to the board of the European Workplace Drug society an organisation formed to provide a focal point for the exchange of ideas and information from within the Drug and Alcohol field.
Rory has over 12 years’ sales, marketing and operations management experience across many sectors. Rory leads and manages the commercial team whilst providing commercial advice and guidance to the Board of Directors.
Matthew is a Chartered Management Accountant and heads up our Finance team.
He is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of financial controls and budgets within the business, as well as the preparation of the Financial Statements.
With 8 years’ experience across a number of industries he also ensures healthy cash flow management and the timely reporting of all financial information to the Board of Directors.
Vivienne ensures Express Medicals is fully compliant across the range of industry sectors we serve. She works hard to ensure we maintain our range of accreditations by effective oversight of our processes, which are aligned with our business objectives.
Dr Steve Malleson
Chief Medical Officer
Steve has more than 30 years’ experience in occupational health within both public and private sector organisations. He has worked across a range of specialties and helped found the Association of Railway Occupational Physicians, serving as its inaugural Secretary and later as Chairman.
Vaida is our Clinical Manager responsible for our 15 nationwide clinics. She arrived at Express Medicals in 2010 as an Occupational Health Nurse and alongside building her career at Express, she has recently been awarded her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health.
Results Team Manager
Mandy has been a part of the Express Medicals team for over 9 years. She built up experience in customer support, and transferred to our DOA department, processing drug & alcohol results before becoming Results Team Manager. Mandy is a qualified trainer, delivering Chain of Custody and Drug & Alcohol testing training.
Customer Support Team Leader
Tayla brings 11 years’ customer service experience to Express Medicals. She is responsible for leading the Customer Support team, delivering exceptional service to our customers and overseeing the achievement and maintenance of our customer service levels.
