Railway Services

Express Medicals has been providing medical services (including drug and alcohol services) to the railway sector since 1996, and has extensive expertise of this area of occupational medicine.

Our chief medical officer has over 30 years’ experience of  rail, transport and construction medicine. He was a founding member of ARIOPS (Association of Railway Industry Occupational Health Physicians), now ARIOHPS (Association of Railway Occupational Health Practitioners).

All our medical staff have a detailed understanding of the standards and protocols with respect to the infrastructures of major rail providers such as Network Rail, London Underground/Transport for London (TfL), Docklands Light Rail (DLR) and Crossrail. Our doctors are also all registered as practitioners with the ORR (Office of the Rail Regulator) and are well experienced in providing rail medicals.

Testing available: pre-employment, pre-placement, random, for cause and post incident.

Drug and alcohol services are complemented by a 24-hour medication advice service.
